About us

The Association was formed in 1982 with the object of deepening understanding of Christian stewardship for Religious and facilitating cooperation between members. It organises projects, meetings and seminars on the spiritual and temporal aspects of the members' ministry. It operates a help-line for members and publishes a newsletter several times a year. An annual three day conference is held in October at which subjects of special or topical interest are discussed by professional advisers. The conference also provides an opportunity for members to meet and socialise with old and new friends. There are currently more than 200 members.

Membership is open to provincial bursars or those with a similar office (e.g. general or regional bursars). Additional members of an Order (e.g. members of a finance committee/ bursar's team etc.) can become associate members and a number of Orders find it useful to have more than one member. Professional advisers can enrol as "friends" of the Association.

Members benefit from:

Fellowship: An opportunity to share with Religious who understand what you are talking about and may be able to help solve your problems.
Expert advice: Learn from professionals at the annual conference and seminars.
Help-line: Call the General Secretary and use the resources of the Association and its contacts to answer your queries on a range of topics affecting charities.
Newsletter: Keep up-to-date with news affecting charities and topics relevant to the Association.
