The Executive Committee is made up of seven elected full or associate members of APB.
There are three officers: Chair, Vice-Chair and Treasurer.
The Executive Committee is responsible for the management of the association and the policy decisions.
Sr Margaret is a member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame and is from Canada. An educator, she has taught at the high school level in Canada teaching Math, Religion, Accounting and other business subjects. She was then called to serve the Province as Treasurer before being asked to serve in Rome as General Treasurer of the Congregation. Having served in this capacity for 12 years she then moved in England and served for ten years with another religious community as Manager. She is presently a Trustee with her community.
Hobbies include walking and music.

Keith P. McMillan, SJ: Keith was elected APB Chair in October 2021. A Jesuit originally from the USA, but has been part of the British Province since 2000. He has his BD from Heythrop College and a PhD in Accounting from the LSE. From 2000, he was a lecturer in accounting at the LSE. He then was parish priest of Sacred Heart Wimbledon from 2008 to 2014. For four years he was one of the Catholic chaplains at Oxford University. Since 2019 he has been treasurer of the British Province and lives in Wapping. Fr Keith was elected to the APB Executive Committee for his first 3-year term at the AGM in September 2020.
Alan is a Chartered Accountant with a career spent mainly within the charitable and not-for-profit sectors. He is currently the Finance Director of the Union of the Sisters of Mercy of Great Britain. Alan was elected to the APB Executive Committee at the October 2021 AGM for his second term and has agreed to continue as APB Treasurer for 2021/22
Mel has worked for the Congregation of Jesus for two years. Prior to this she spent 18 years in senior appointments in the charity sector, including the role of Finance Director. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 30 years’ financial experience. She was elected to the APB Executive Committee in October 2021 for her first 3-year term of office.
Sr. Mary, a member of the Faithful Companions of Jesus, was appointed General Bursar on January 1st 2016. An educator, she has taught at second and third level in France and the Philippines. Prior to her appointment as Provincial of continental Europe in 2006, she spent six years in Romania where her principal ministry was Faith Development. Sr. Mary returned to minister in Bucharest from 2012 to 2016.
Sr Mary was elected to the APB Executive at the October 2021 AGM for a second 3-year term.
Her hobbies include walking, nature strolls, gardening and classical music.
Julie qualified as a Chartered Accountant 30 years ago and from the late 1990s began to specialise in the charity/not for profit sector, working in several professional firms of auditors/accountants. Julie was involved in leading audit teams, providing advisory services and delivering training. Julie became Head of Finance for an Anglican Diocese in 2014 before becoming Finance Director for the Congregation of La Retraite in July 2022. As Finance Director, Julie is responsible for the Congregation’s finance activities in both England and Ireland.
In her spare time Julie is Honorary Treasurer for Gloucester City Mission, a charity that supports the homeless, those living in temporary accommodation, sofa surfers and those in need of support with clothing, toiletries, food or advice in and around the city of Gloucester.
Fr David OP is the Provincial Bursar for The Dominican Council / English Province of the Order of Preachers
Blackfriars, Oxford. He is also Dean of Degrees, Lector and Fellow. He studied Philosophy in Cambridge and Manchester before entering the Dominican Order. He has doctorate in Moral Theology from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and maintains interests in both Moral Philosophy and Moral Theology. He was Prior of Oxford. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Las Casas Institute.
He was elected for his first 3-year term to the APB Executive Committee at the October 2022 APB AGM.
